Day #148.1: And the hits just keep on coming...

Well, with 13 days until Christmas, Bob was fired from his job today.

And the total kicker is I was completely depending on his next check to buy the kids Christmas presents.

So, now we are a one income household again. Which means I need to either get a second job or pick up as much OT as I can. As a nurse, I have a much easier time finding work than a paramedic.

Granted, he hated his job and it wasn't a good fit, it still helped with bills plus it paid his child support and his owed IRS. We have been applying to every job we could for 2 years, with only 2 callbacks.

It seems hopeless. To make matters worse? We might have to move. There are just no jobs in this area for him.

So, please keep in mind ads are 50% off with the promo HAPPYHOLIDAYS and I am offering 50% off items in my etsy shop with the same promo...Please take a look! All of the money I make off Etsy sales and ads are going towards Christmas presents for the kids. Thanks everyone for your kindness, love and support.

  1. Oh, Chelsea, I'm so sorry. What an awful time to do that to someone. I don't know how these employers live with themselves. I hope something turns up for him soon.

  3. Oh wow! That must be so scary. I didn't know that paramedics didn't have an easy time finding jobs. Of course, in lots of places in Michigan, medical people are not really in high demand because the supply is so high! Oh man--I hope he's able to get a new, and even better job, as soon as possible!

  5. Aw! Sweetie, I'm sooooo sorry. I was able to pay for Christmas from my Etsy sales this year, and then I have a baby due a few weeks after Christmas that I have not bought a single thing on my list for. I don't want to say that I can relate, but I feel your pain. :)

I bought an ad! I hope you buy your cuties something sweet. :) I know mine are always happy with candy! lol
