Day #216: Sick Day Essentials

I am slacking today. I am just coming off 4 shifts in a row, on top of being sick. Yes, I have the flu AGAIN. This is the worst flu season I have seen in a long time. It's now hit me 3 times.

So, unfair.

Anyways, I had the morning off and I had every intention of posting. I had all these creative ideas about talking about body image and such, but all the congestion, body aches and coughing took all my energy.

I will write something fun soon. I promise. I have all these good ideas for recipes, crafts, OOTD, etc posts but find that I lack the time and energy (lately due to illness). Do any of you have that problem?

I am also slacking on getting my sponsor post up. Sorry lovelies, I promise it will be up soon.

I am finally off tomorrow though. Here are my sick day essentials:

1. Box of tissues
2. Warm blanket
3. Diet Coke or Squirt
4. Cough drops
5. Cuddly animals
6. Cold Medicine: Day-Quil, Night-Quil, Vicks Vapor Rub, Benadryl

That's all I can think of right now. On a different note, who remembers taking Dimetap when they were young? I used to LOVE Dimetap. It tasted so good.

Also, don't type "Squirt" into Google images without adding SODA after it. You will NOT like what you see. It will definitely catch you off guard and likely make you feel totally awkward. You've been warned.

That's all for today.

  2. I totally understand! I have been sick with several colds and am now out with norovirus. I have one sick day left for the year and it's not even March yet! My husband and kids are also sick too. I cannot wait for cold/flu season to be over and it to be spring.

  3. Take your time getting better! If you rush, you'll just feel worse. I haven't seen a flu season like this in a long time either. A lot of my friends have been knocked on their butts. Get better!

  4. Dimetap, lol, everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I'm allergic to it (only took it once when I was 5 and my mom said I went nuts, totally hyperactive). So sadly I'm don't remember what it taste like. Hope you feel better, being sick is the worst especially when you have a ton to do.
