I hope everyone has a fun and safe Memorial Weekend!! I am heading up north to spend time with my family and of course, in Michigan, it is supposed to be cold. Which means NO beach time for this girl! However, if I was going to catch some rays, I want to do it in style AND protect my skin!! Check out a couple of summer styles I made on Polyvore:
With the above outfits, there are obvious areas in need of skin protection. With the first outfit, the arms, shoulders and face need to be protected from UV rays and nourished after spending time in the sun. The legs are pretty protected by the skirt of the dress. With the second out, the arms, shoulders and legs need to be protected. Not only do you want to protect your skin from UV rays with suntan lotion, but after being out in the sun, it's important to nourish our skin. The skin becomes dry when it does not contain enough moisture or natural oils.
As the summer weather falls upon us, it becomes just as important to protect our skin. In the winter the dry, cold weather causes skin to crack, requiring nurturing lotion and scrubs. The same thing occurs in the summertime when we tan and soak in some Vitamin D...we still need to protect and nourish our skin!
A great product, which is available at Wal-Mart stores nationwide, is Tree Hut Hand and Foot care products. Tree Hut products are certified organic shea butter and natural oils, which keeps our skin smooth and soft. I would love to try (and plan on trying) the foot scrub and the hand cream. Another great product is Tree Hut foot cream.
Another thing I love about Tree Hut products is that NONE of them are tested on animals. Which is something I look for in most products. Here is some more information about Tree Hut Hand Cream and Foot Scrub:
