spring break and other nonsense

Hello faithful friends!

I can't believe I still have readers even though I post so infrequently. To be honest, after a year or so of blogging about my problems, musings and what not, I kind of lost topics to discuss. Or inspiration, I suppose. However, after a recent vacation I have found some more inspiration!

First, the vacation. If you recall (I think I wrote about it?) last year, my brother and I went to Florida for spring break to attend some Detroit Tigers spring training games. It was the first time we had been to spring training and we loved it! We had so much fun attending the games and escaping the cold weather for awhile that we decided to do it again this year.

This year Bob was able to go with us, so it was extra special because it was my and Bob's first vacation together! We are finally gaining more control of finances so were able to swing it this year. Here are some pictures from the trip:

I got to see one of my bff's from high school, Bryan!!

All you can eat crabby legs - yuuuummmmmm!

Enjoying bloody mary's and some sunshine!

And then of course...we had to leave the beautiful state and return to cold Michigan. Boo.

But first...let me take a selfie!
It was so much fun. I can't wait to go again next year. Which brings me to what I will be blogging about for the next year...I recently started yet another diet, so it will come to no one's surprise, that I am starting another. For the next year, I will be trying to lose weight. I think it will be motivating to post pictures of me from next year's trip next to this year's to see how much weight I can lose.

Plus, over the next year, Bob will be in nursing clinical. He is about halfway through his first semester, and when I post about our trip next year, he will be halfway through his last semester. The next year will have many up's and down's, as we work towards budgeting while he is no longer working full-time and me trying to lose weight.

We are once again...big, beautiful & broke...
